Bryan Metcalfe, B.Comm

Publisher & General Manager

I have called Winnipeg home for most of my life. My wife and I along with our two sons wouldn't have it any other way. We live in the same community of St. James that we were raised in. Our family is very involved in hockey and the various community clubs we support. I am currently the president of the community club where we reside. Volunteering is important to me and I have coached at the community level as well at my children's school. Junior Achievement Manitoba is another area where I volunteer as their chairman. I help to reinforce with school children, the importance of staying in school and completing their education. I bring with me many years of experience in the publishing world and am thrilled to work for a company such as Canstar. Community is the focus at Canstar and it is a pleasure to work with our reading public as well as our advertisers for something I strongly believe in and support.

Nicole Kapusta

Manager, Creative Services
I have lived in the small community of Warren for most of my life. I enjoy the small community atmosphere, the quite safe town and my friends and family that live there. My entire professional experience as a manager and a graphic artist has been with the community newspapers in Winnipeg. I started with Canadian Publishers in 1993 as a student on a work practicum. I moved quickly into a supervisory role and in 1999 was promoted to manager. I have grown as a professional over the years with on the job experience, training and the every changing technological advancements within my area of expertise. When I first started we used wax, knives and pasteup boards to send the pages to the printer. We have been 100% computerized since 1999.
