Beware of buying products from the back of a car

Police are warning the public to be wary of individuals selling cheap home entertainment systems out of a vehicle throughout the city.

People who have purchased the equipment have discovered after opening the products that they are of poor quality, have been cheated and have no recourse as the vendor promptly leaves the area, police said.

Police urge anyone who encounters such salespeople to ask for credentials and confirm them with whatever company they claim to be associated with.
