Festival gets new director

Next winter’s edition of the Festival du Voyageur will have a new face at the helm of the event.

Daniel Lussier is leaving to head the Catholic Health Corporation of Manitoba.

Mr. Lussier is credited with having eliminated the festival’s debt and creating new programs at the Fort Gibraltar site which was recently named one of Canada’s Top 10 sites to visit in 2006 by Where Magazine.

Taking over the reins will be former director of marketing and communication Ms. Josée Vaillancourt, who has worked at the festival since 2004.
