Headingley

• Movie Night in Headingley: The Bee Movie, 7 p.m., April 18, Headingley Community Centre.

• 4-H Club Achievement Night: Join the members of the Headingley 4-H Club in celebrating the completion of their projects at their Achievement Night on Thurs., April 24 at the Headingley Community Centre. Doors open at 7 p.m.and the program starts at 7:30 p.m. Silent auction and refreshments to follow.

Oak Bluff

• Nursery School Registration: will take place on Apr. 21 at 7 p.m. at Oak Bluff School. This is the night to register your 3 and 4 year olds for the 2008/2009 school year. The children must have their 3rd birthday on or prior to December 31, 2008. It also enables us as a Board to inform you of what is happening with the Nursery School and allows for your input regarding the program. A $10.00 non-refundable registration fee is required.There will also be elections for several board positions. If you have any questions, please call Janet Kehler at 831-1830.

Starbuck

• Bingo: You are invited to an evening of games, treats and more! Bingo will be held at St. Paul’s Catholic Church on Friday, April 25 at 7:30 p.m. A bake sale will accompany the game at Starbuck Hall. Bring your own bingo chips!

Elie

• Whist games: Whist will be played every Monday at 1 p.m. at the Elie Veterans Hall. For more information, call Betty at 735-2488.

Domain

• Avonlea United Church Luncheon: Avonlea United Church invites all to their annual luncheon on Sunday Apr. 20 from 12:30-2:30 p.m. in Domain Hall, just 30 mins. south of the perimeter. Baskets, baking, plants, and that first fall full luncheon meal of the season. No reservations needed. Silver collection. this year’s theme is “Granny’s Attic.”

St. Francois Xavier

• Musical Storytime: A program designed for preschool children and their parents.

Program will be offered on Wednesdays (4 weeks) starting on May 7 from 10–10:30 a.m. at the SFX Community Club. Enrollment is limited. For info/to register, please call Melanie at 480-8838.

• Fabulous ’50s Gala fundraiser: May 3 for SFX community club renovations, featuring Jimmy G & the Doowops! Put on your poodle skirt and your Grease outfits and dance the night away to the best era of music yet! Guaranteed great entertainment and catered meal. • Learn to Play Soccer & Baseball: Coaches needed to run this great program in your community. If you can spare an hour one evening per week, call Karen for details 864-2340.

Registration for learn to Play Soccer and Baseball Soccer will beTuesday

April 22, 6-8 pm. at SFX Community Club. Fees $25.00 for one sport or $40.00

for both. Soccer will be held Tuesday 6:15- 7:15 ages 4-6. Baseball will be Thursday 6:15- 7:15 ages 5-8.

Recreational Scrub softball: will be held Thursday evenings 7:15- 8:30, ages 9-up (parents welcome to join in the fun). Fee $5.00. Registration April 22, 6-8pm at the

SFX Community Club. Note: minimal supervision offered therefore parental

supervision is advised.
