Woman on rampage damages cruisers

A bunch of police cars were busted up on Dec. 9 as a female suspect went on a rampage smashing and breaking several windows and lights.

At 4:45 a.m. an unspecified number of police cars were parked in front of residences in the 500 block of Balmoral Street on an unrelated matter.

While the cars were unattended, a female who was not involved in the Balmoral incident proceeded to damage a number of cruisers.

The total amount of the damage has yet to be determined.

The 52-two year old female was arrested and faces charges of mischief over $5,000 and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

Fight ends in stabbing

A woman who tried to break up a fight between two men was stabbed on Dec. 9.

At 4:30 a.m. the two males started going at it at a residence in the 500 block of Balmoral Street.

The female became involved in the fight and was stabbed in the lower body by one of the males.

She was taken to hospital in stable condition where she was treated for her injuries.

A 19-year-old male has been arrested for the stabbing and is facing charges of assault with a weapon, uttering threats and breach of probation.

Woman and baby hit by car

A woman and child were hit by a car on Dec. 9 at 5:45 p.m.

The 25-year-old female was pushing an 18-month-old child in a stroller and was attempting to cross Sargent Avenue at Agnes Street when she was hit by an eastbound car.

The female and child were taken to hospital in a stable condition where they were treated for non life-threatening injuries.

The investigation into the incident is continuing.
